Birthday and Flowers!

Well.... I Turned 30!! (Over a month ago)

I didn't ever think I would ever turn 30 (I am slightly in denial that I am getting old). Might have something to do with the fact that I still get asked for ID.  At first I was analysing (over analyzing!) everything in my life, this happened because everyone was "OMG you are turning thirty!" or "Are you struggling with the fact you are turning the big 3-0". I didn't have a problem with it and then I did. After all this kerfuffle I nothing to worry about!! Embrace it! It is only a number!!

I was spoiled rotten by my lovely friends and family. One of my dear work friends bought me a mountain of flowers for a small party I had a the Palace.

I found this image on The Design files months ago which was from the girls at Georgeous Events who were guest Bloggers.
Georgeous Events

All I wanted to do is re-create this look. I then relised i have nothing to hang the bottles from. I talked about this for weeks and then last minute I pulled this together. Not quite the same thing but I was quite happy with it.

One thing that I have taken away from the flowers is that it is a new Palace rule that there will always be a Flower arrangement in the house at all time!!

    The Royal Wedding

I have seen a million posts on "The Wedding". There are great images here and here. I celebrated and watched while putting together my bedside tables I picked up on Friday!!

Loved Cate's Dress but I adored Pippa's dress. Simple and Elegant. My Guess this will get knocked off more for weddings than the actual Wedding Dress.

    Desert Boots

Once upon a time, Lady Fable was a little girl, who wanted to be just like her Dad. Mum would dress me in Cords, Bonds Tees and Desert boots! I have short hair in all these pics, not because Mum wished I was a Boy, but because someone said to her if she cut my hair short it would grow back quicker.

Dad and I in our Desert Boots on the top of Ayers Rock!

While away last August, I saw a pair of Desert boots and it immediately reminding me of this series of pictures. I am currently loving the Desert boot look, so i have purchased these Clarks desert boots:
    From StyleTread.com.au
They are super comfy and look great with a pair of rolled up Boyfriend Jeans. Just make sure you Waterproof them first. $139.95 from Styletread.com.au

    Lady Loves: ipad2

Well another reason for my absence and erractic posting is that the fact my birthday present was delivered last week. Hot off the Production line in China, straight into my hot little hands! My Ipad!

It was instant love. Lord Fable feels like I am cheating on him with it. My new husband is so compact, so capable of nearly everything my laptop can do. It is fantastic. Fits snug into my handbag and comes with me everywhere. With Millions of apps on offer, I have been reading up on and downloading the good, the bad and the ugly....

I won't mention the bad but I will mention a few goodies:
    1. Kindle/iBooks - Gone are the days of the paper back, you can download ebooks and digital edition of nearly everything from the Apple Store (iBooks) and Amazon (Kindle). Great for people who travel as you can store as many as you like. Not so good for the likes of Borders and Angus & Robertson, who have recently gone into receivership due to the increase in online and kindle like sales.
    2. The Age - Digital news paper! Awesome. The Broadsheet size of The Age has always annoyed me and now I can download it to my ipad and never have newsprint hands again. You can trial it for 7 days for free!
    3. Any program that syncs with your laptop. KEYNOTE, GARAGEBAND, EVERNOTE.
    4. Mashable App: Be in the know for all things social media!
These are the gems, out of what I have downloaded. I came across a bizarre app which i paid $4.00 for. Dance Writer from the Typotheque font foundry. I downloaded it out of curiosity. A some what useless, yet intriguing. You type in a word and a Women dances it out making the letter forms with her body! The Picture clarity on the ipad makes this app great. I you don't have an ipad or don't want to part with the cash, you can have a go at the online version.
